My interest in living things and healing nature came naturally to me as a child from my mother, a nurse, and my father, a Biology teacher.
I attended Ohio University Athens, graduating in 1988 with a B.S.Ed. in Biological Science. In 2003, I obtained an AD in Nursing. I was a full-time triage RN at Wellness Center Whisler Hall at Denison University for 13 years and now am semi-retired from the university.
In 2016, I was certified in doTERRA’s AromaTouch Technique, a clinical approach to essential oil application to enhance and support homoeostasis - offering this technique to family and friends.
In 2017 I became a 1st and 2nd degree Reiki practitioner. November 2019, I achieved a Reiki Master certification and became a member of The Reiki Alliance. I am only the second Reiki Alliance Master in the State of Ohio! My Reiki Master Jeanne Sands is the first.
Reiki is universal energy healing - physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. My traditional lineage is passed down directly from a very short list of: Usui, Hayashi, Takata, Gray, Rosenthal, Sands.
Starting 2019 Fall Semester, I am excited to announce the Denison University Wellness Center is offering Reiki and the AromaTouch Technique to the Denison students. I am excited to be a part of the Alternative Therapies they are providing the students and their overall wellness needs.
